That is a very very expensive phone to... So who buys it???
FACTS:
Copenhagen-based Aesir isn't out to create the next iPhone killer, their mission is to team up with influential designers to work from the ground up to create unique and unconventional handset designs. Their first phone is a collaboration with designer Yves Behar who puts it best:
"In an age when the industry seems to think that phones aren’t for speaking anymore, I wanted to focus on the idea of voice, clarity and simplicity. The central tenet behind the +YvesBéhar is to literally craft the visual details, craft the functional tactility, and craft the user interface. The +YvesBéhar champions the idea of craftsmanship in an age that’s obsessed with more and making last year’s products obsolete. Instead we propose better and long-lasting as our starting criteria."
Two designs of the +YvesBéhar will be available: One in 18k gold (€42,000) and another in 316L stainless steel (€7,250). Both will also feature wraparound ceramic uppers and a sapphire crystal lens. The phone will first be available in Europe this summer and the rest of the world this Fall.
